beginners to a systematic approach to learning Buddhism.<\/p>\n<p>It begins with the significant events of Shakyamuni Buddha\u2019s life, followed by a brief introduction of his teachings.<\/p>\n<p>Then it explains the various school of thoughts and paths (that beginners may have already been exposed to) and outlines the progressive stages of the path to Buddhahood.<\/p>\n<p>In the process of learning, students are encouraged to put into practice what they have learned and to pen down their thoughts for later reflection.<\/p>\n<p><b>Course Objective<\/b><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the course, students should have a brief idea of Buddha and his teachings.<\/p>\n<p>With the teachings in mind, they would be in a better position to make choices that will lead to ultimate joy.<\/p>\n<p>This beginner course is just a steppingstone for students to further their learning in Buddhism.<\/p>\n<p>After which, students can attend courses that explain the Hinayana, Mahayana and Vajrayana teachings in greater
